Billoba's technology is at Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL 6), meaning it has been validated as a functional prototype in a relevant environment, beyond pure lab research but ahead of full-scale commercial production. Our patented bio-based rubber formula and drop-in compound have been tested against real-world performance requirements and are designed for seamless integration into standard industrial molding processes. Can Billoba customize the material to match our product's technical specifications?

Yes. Customization is central to how we work. Our patented platform allows us to tune the mechanical properties of the foam, including grip, stretch, density, and feel, to meet your precise requirements. Depending on the scope, this is typically structured as a joint development agreement.

Does Billoba's material help us meet upcoming regulatory requirements like PFAS bans or REACH restrictions?

Absolutely. This is one of the core reasons brands come to us. With PFAS bans and REACH reclassifications of hazardous blowing agents such as TMTD and ADCA, Billoba's material offers an immediate, compliant alternative. It contains no harmful chemicals or additives currently being phased out, making it a future-proof drop-in solution that protects your supply chain without requiring a product redesign.

How does Billoba's material compare to neoprene and synthetic rubber on performance?

Our material is engineered to match or exceed synthetic rubber and neoprene across the key performance metrics: grip, stretch, durability, and feel. Unlike standard natural rubber, Billoba's reinforced molecular structure closes the performance gap with petroleum-based alternatives. It is also 100% hypoallergenic and skin-contact safe, eliminating the irritation and health risks associated with many conventional materials.
